Allergy Symptoms v.2.0
Aaaaaahhhh, summer is finally here and living is easy.
Right? well, the sun certainly helps with easy living.
But if things start feeling weird, and you’ve eaten something you normally don’t (or, heck, even that you normally do), you may have developed a food allergy, or intolerance.
Isn’t food intolerance and allergy the same thing, though? Well, essentially yes. Intolerance is commonly seen as a less acute reaction, making it a much milder reaction than if you’re allergic to something. Allergy reactions can be very acute and even life threatening.
When it comes to both food intolerance and allergy, there are the usual gastrointestinal symptoms like nausea, diarrhea, stomach pain and/or vomiting. Those are surefire signs that you have eaten something you shouldn’t have. Of course, it can also be food poisoning, which is a completely different matter.
If you experience any of the symptoms in this word cloud, it may just be a food allergy that’s causing it:
If you know that you ate something you normally don’t, then the answer is pretty clear on what you’re allergic or sensitive to. But what if it’s something you eat regularly and hasn’t caused you any problems in the past?
Us humans are very dynamic beings. We have the ability to change and adapt when we need to. Unfortunately, these changes can also go a little wrong, causing, for example, a food allergy. So just because you’ve always been eating dairy, doesn’t mean you’ll be able to forever. The most common allergens are: gluten and wheat, dairy, peanuts, pecan nuts, almonds, walnuts, fish and shellfish, eggs as well as soy.
It’s very important to take your allergy or intolerance seriously, as it can be your absolute key to health.
Do you have an allergy or food intolerance? How did you find out which one it is?
I wish you an excellent weekend. Thank you so much for reading.
